You’re Beautiful

My parents, grandma and I are on a trip to Los Angeles and we’ve made it successfully to our first pit stop. I walked in with my grandma and the cashier offered her the option of using a family restroom, allowing her space and considering how she was relying on me to help her walk. As we were leaving, the cashier walked by me and said “You’re beautiful” with a kind smile. I appreciate words of kindness so much. I’ve also made a personal commitment to not “read” into things unnecessarily. For example, him offering the compliment is just that, a compliment. I most likely will never see him again but by choosing to receive the compliment, smile, be happy about it, I enjoyed both moments of empathic kindness thoroughly. 3/7/20 KINDNESS/EMPATHY

Finding the Golden Rule in action everywhere I go! It’s like time stops and I get to watch amazing scenes play out in front of me. Scenes that embody Kindness, Empathy, Respect, and Civility. Arizona is a Golden Rule State and I’m what you might call a Golden Rule prospector.
