1/2 off Goodwill

Honestly, as a human being I oftentimes step on other people toes, literally and figuratively. Sometimes the question of our personal happiness versus another’s happiness go head to head in a form of battle. At Goodwill today, it was packed, 1/2 off Saturday. My mom and I were there to play and shop. Our cart was so full and the line to try on clothes so long. We were doing our best to be respectful by putting some clothing back, and yet as we neared the dressing rooms, our cart was still full. With the intention to be quick, and deciding to take turns occupying one dressing room, we chose to take the path of happiness in trying on all the clothes. We did take awhile, about 30 minutes. In the process I felt gratitude for the public space to try on the clothes and also a willingness to be patient with anyone who takes extra time in the dressing room. If I want extra time, I must be willing to give that time to others. Make room for each other and our human choices. 2/22/20 CIVILITY

Finding the Golden Rule in action everywhere I go! It’s like time stops and I get to watch amazing scenes play out in front of me. Scenes that embody Kindness, Empathy, Respect, and Civility. Arizona is a Golden Rule State and I’m what you might call a Golden Rule prospector.
